Tekia Timmons, known as Ms. Kia to many of her students, has been a math enthusiast since she was a child. This enthusiasm would lead to earning a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Georgia State University) and a Master of Science in Applied Statistics (Kennesaw State University).

For the past 14 years, she has taught High School Math, in both public and private schools, in the United States, Vietnam, and Ethiopia. She believes that math is a universal language that we are all capable of learning how to speak with appropriate challenge and support. She is super excited to join the ICL community!

When Tekia is not teaching, she loves to make jewelry, travel, and have new food experiences with her family which includes her loving partner, two teenage daughters, and a new baby boy who keeps life fun and exciting!
