All students are expected to work on a long-term service project that enhances and improves communities in exciting, innovative ways. They’ll apply the many leadership and entrepreneurship skills they develop through their ongoing coursework to their service project, enabling them to see the content of their school in context of the world. 

The ICL curriculum yields groundbreaking service projects that have a positive impact on people around the world. We are proud of our young global leaders and their work on every continent and in over 40 countries!  

The range of past service projects is diverse and representative of our students’ deep passion for improving the world, including: 

  • Reforestation efforts and other projects that address climate issues
  • Facilitating youth support groups that to address teen issues
  • Composting education and action drives in local schools and communities  
  • Clothing drives for families in need
  • Education programs to pull youth away from gangs
